The 4 days 3 nights trip to Kota Kinabalu was fantastic.
This is my 2nd trip and Darling's 1st.
KK is one of the most fantastic cities I have ever been to. It is nothing like the typical West Malaysia cities. Our first night was spent up at the mountainous area, right at the foot of Mt Kinabalu. It was a 2hr drive away from the airport. The next 2 nights was at my Aunt's place. Just around the corner of her apartment is the Tanjong Aru long sandy beach and beautiful golf course but we choose to suntan at another island called the Manukan Island. The island is beautiful and perfect for diving, snorkeling and swimming but a little too crowded as it was the school holidays.
We tried the local bbq chicken wings, coconut pudding, seafood, strawberry ice cream and fish noodles.
We moved around in a Toyota Hilux 3.0 Diesel 4 wD.
We got up at 7am every morning.
We shopped at 1 Borneo Shopping Mall.
We sun bathed and got burnt.
We swam.
We went trekking and I broke a nail.
We took picture after pictures.
We had fun with the kids.
We..... miss the place now.
The next time round we are there, we will probably travel to Sipadan Island which is even more WOW and my cousins are talking about climbing the Mt Kinabalu. We'll see...
